About D:

Founded in 2011 DPAGES began as a small magazine with a simple goal – to showcase the work of talented artists, architects, and designers, alongside interviews that delve into the heart, soul, hard work and lessons that are part of their journey toward design excellence. Not sated with just the monthly magazine, and with a desire to share more, DPAGES launched a sister site, DPAGES Blog, in late 2011. Most recently, in the Spring of 2013, D took on the task of merging the magazine and blog into one cohesive site making this site the hub of all past, present and future D content. With some 50 interviews and close to 600 blog posts to date, D remains as committed as ever to sharing all that is cool and beautiful in the world of art, architecture, and design.

Two years old and counting!:

Over the course of its two years in existence, DPAGES has interviewed some of the most fascinating and successful talents in the world of art, architecture, and design. These include the world-renowned architect and engineer Santiago Calatrava, Mad Men’s Emmy award winning set decorators Amy Wells and Claudette Didul, the hot French design duo Gilles & Bossier and the achingly talented Irish furniture maker Joseph Walsh.

When not chatting with and reporting on art, architecture, and design luminaries, D consistently partners with some of the most respected names in the field of journalism and design to provide D readers with unique features and access to product. Some recent highlights include an exclusive co-feature with Men’s Journal, as well as partnerships with Georg Jensen and Niche Modern. It’s been two exciting years of growth, and I hope you will join D as we launch into the future.

The little lady behind it all:

Alex has studied interior design and architecture both in the United States and Milan, Italy. Although a Master of Interior Design Graduate, her career plans were once quite different. Translation – she clocked far more hours than she cares to remember with scalpel in hand and human cadaver on table. Today she lives in the heart of New York City, where she works as a designer (interior, graphic and otherwise), journalist, and of course as the founder and editor-in-chief of DPAGES. She hopes you will enjoy D’s content as much as she enjoys sharing it with you!
